Is it possible for spiritual directors to accompany those whose life experiences are so ‘out there’ or strange to one’s own journey? How do we deeply listen to and hold friends from ethnic minorities, or any who have escaped by boat the threats of their homeland, or those whose gender orientation is different from our own or others whose upbringing has deeply cut and broken them?
The AECSD invites you to our National Capital to explore these questions and find ways through them. Alan and Robyn Cadwallader, both writers of note with spiritual direction experience, have spent some time individually and together exploring the edges of life’s encounters and will ably guide our search.
The other delight about the AECSD Gathering is in meeting with spiritual direction friends from all around Australia, sharing resources and insights. I look forward to meeting you and finding out how the spiritual direction ministry is touching your life.
