I grew up in the Brethren Assemblies, moving to a Baptist church in my early teens when my family moved to Christchurch. My husband and I are part of the South West Baptist Church whanau and spent 12 years living in intentional community.

After a significant spiritual experience in 2012 my understanding of God and his desires for my life took a big turn. As God’s love and compassion became my lived experience, I turned away from some unhealthy habits, and re-set my life focusing more on contemplative prayer practices.

Although in this season I am not offering spiritual direction formally, I am happy to chat with visitors to our property on request and keep a good library of spiritual books.

I live near Little River on Banks Peninsula. I trained with SGM in 2014 and 2015 and practiced as a spiritual director until moving away from Christchurch in early 2019.

We now run a small retreat centre on a 10 acre farmlet in Cooptown hosting individuals, families and groups. If you need a break, to enjoy some country air with ready access to the beauty of the Peninsula, we may be able to provide you with a space to do that.
