Religious background
I was raised in a Christian home, and from an early age I experienced God as a real and living presence in my life. Over the years, I have found myself increasingly drawn to the contemplative traditions of Christian spirituality, where I have learned to listen more deeply and respond to God’s loving presence with greater openness and trust.
I trained as a Spiritual Director with Spiritual Growth Ministries, a journey that has deepened both my faith and my capacity to accompany others. Alongside this, my work as a counsellor has given me the privilege of walking with many people through some of life’s most challenging experiences, including trauma, sexual abuse, grief, and loss. These experiences have shaped my approach to spiritual direction, helping me to offer a compassionate, gentle, and attentive presence as others explore their own spiritual journey.
Approach to spiritual direction
I see spiritual direction as a safe, welcoming, and accepting space where you can gently explore and discover the presence and voice of the Sacred in the world around you and within your own heart. As we journey together, you are invited to notice how God is present and at work in the ordinary moments of everyday life, opening space for fresh insight, healing, and growth.
I feel deeply honoured to walk alongside you as you discover and respond to the quiet movement of God’s love and grace in your life.
Along the way, I may draw on a range of contemplative and creative practices to support our conversations, including drawing, poetry, spiritual practices, and different ways of praying. These are offered gently and only where they feel helpful, always honouring your own unique journey.
