Religious background
My life direction has been as a Catholic priest, and I am also a qualified spiritual director in the Ignatian method of spiritual direction. I have a deep interest in ecumenical and interfaith dialogue, especially in contemplative traditions. I am presently working towards becoming a psychotherapist.
Approach to spiritual direction
Within these differing pastoral, spiritual and therapeutic roles, I have come to a deep appreciation of just how unique each of us is in the ways we experience and make sense of our world. I believe that, by listening to our deepest desires for wholeness, we can discover our unique life purpose seeking expression through us.
Ignatian spiritual direction is shaped around your individual needs as they emerge in the context of your daily life. I will work with you to reflect on the day-to-day movements of your heart in the context of God’s love for you.
By developing a deeper understanding of where these movements come from and where they lead, you can discern how and where God may be calling you in your life, and how you might respond to this call.
