Religious background
I was raised in Tauranga in a Pentecostal church context. I have lived, worked and studied overseas so I have worshiped in diverse faith communities/denominations in China, Korea and the UK.
Since 2014 I have been worshiping at a neighbourhood, inter-generational Anglican church. My children attend Catholic schools and my Spiritual Director is a Sister of Compassion.
I feel close to God in nature, in collective worship, reading the Word, during dance or yoga classes, when I express myself creatively (such as in art, sewing or listening to music), working one-on-one with people, when I enjoy the close company of friends, floating in the sea and with animals.
Approach to spiritual direction
I offer a calm, attentive presence in spiritual direction. I listen carefully, attend to God’s presence in and around us and ask insightful questions.
I am an emerging Spiritual Director with a particular focus on women in leadership. Separately I am a trained coach and facilitator. In 2026 I will graduate with a Graduate Diploma in Theology from Laidlaw College. Particular areas of interest for me are grief and loss, mothering, life transitions and neurodiversity.
