Spiritual direction is a sacred space. It is a chance for a person to share of themselves in a caring safe environment, a place where God is the unseen presence in all our discussions. I was trained by Spiritual Growth Ministries and am an ordained Anglican priest and am currently the vicar of a small Christchurch parish. I love the privelege of sharing with others as they journey with God along the path of life.

I am a Benedictine Oblate so aim to live my life according to the principles laid out by St Benedict in his Rule for monastics. I believe that God is always and everywhere active in our lives – our spiritual journey involves becoming aware of how God is present to us in each situation. These beliefs form the basis of my spiritual direction practice.

I am professionally trained as a midwife, which I consider informs my whole perspective in offering Spiritual Direction, as God is all ways desiring to gestate in us through waiting seasons and even loss, to bring the mystery of unexpected surprises to birth in our lives. Margaret Guenther opines a midwife is a 'with woman' who offers her 'with-ness' in keeping another company along the journey, one who provides empathic support; a 'listening into clarity'; and the freedom to explore the 'terra incognita' of the soul's desires. I consider the matrix for this is elicited through the reciprocal gift/trust of soul friendship, that I endeavour to proffer over a wide ranging denominational melange.

I am a Mother, Friend, Spiritual director, Spa therapist and Retreat facilitator. I love all things centred in the Divine, that are simple, nourishing and inclusive. Here at Seasons Soulcare we are about living a soulful and intentional life. By slowing down and turning inward towards our heart and indwelling wisdom (God, Sophia the Divine ..) we can hear the places that need attention, healing, more joy, more softening and love.

Spiritual Direction is an enormous privilege for me. When a person embraces their spiritual path with openness and curiosity, the results are often surprising and exciting, never a waste of time. My approach is founded on both my experience with the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius and my practice of contemplative prayer. I have a big heart for people who feel spiritually homeless, as my journey has moved through a variety of spiritual perspectives and theological positions. At the heart of any spiritual practice is the assumption that God is at work in us at all times; our job is to help facilitate that work. In the Spiritual Exercises, St Ignatius encourages Directors to be like the centre of a balance, neither overtly influencing a person's journey, nor remaining passive. A person coming to me for direction can expect me to be calm, empathetic, and affirming, but also honest. My goal is to hold a light up for people and help them see the road ahead, particularly when the way is dark or unclear.

Every person is a mystery, even to themselves! The mystery of the universe speaks uniquely and personally to each of us. I seek to offer space for another to feel free to give expression to this dynamic in their life - and listen to these movements of God with them and where it may be calling or guiding. I see my role as 'Accompanying' another. I've personally found that spiritual direction in my own life has been transformative and my desire is to 'hold space' for others to experience this freedom. Life is an ongoing deepening adventure.

My approach to Spiritual Direction flows from a belief that all of life is sacred. As I journey with another with a listening and open heart my hope is that they discover within their life an invitation to grow into the fullness of the Gospel call to live life to the full.
I journey with another in a holistic way recognising the presence of God in body, mind and spirit. I would hope to deepen in the other a heart presence to Life.

I am a Catholic woman, married with children and grandchildren. I belief in the extravagant, tender and mysterious love of the Trinity. I am a contemplative and my approach to spiritual direction is to offer a hearth space, where ones life and faith can be shared and heard and where the tender motions of Love are noticed. All are welcome and I also offer creative contemplative retreat days, dream workshops and companionship on silent retreats when requested. I am also happy to supervise spiritual directors.

Having been involved in pastoral leadership for over 30 years, recently transitioning into prioritising spiritual direction and wider involvement across the Body of Christ. I have a passion to help people grow in awareness and response to God’s Presence within them, around them, in Creation, in all contexts of life. Learning to live from an inner posture of rest and peace has been a life long journey and eager to walk alongside others to grow in the wonder of who we are as Gods image bearers.

I am a spiritual director trained in a contemplative/incarnational model of spiritual direction drawn from the Catholic tradition and the world of psycho-therapy. I have worked as a spiritual director for more 20 years. I work to help those who come for spiritual direction - directees - to find where God is active in their everyday lives and to discern what God is communicating. My role is primarily listening to what my directees bring and then helping them tease out the emerging God activity. Directees then decide how to respond.

Spiritual Direction provides a wonderful opportunity to accompany people on their journey with Our God. I aim to listen, to draw out and ask questions that help another pay attention to God's activity and presence in their lives. I am trained in the Ignatian Tradition and draw on this in my ministry.

Spiritual Direction is about exploring how the whole of us - our thoughts, feelings, emotions, body and spirit relate to God/ the Divine/ the transcendent. Spiritual Direction is a chance to explore with a compassionate and wise listener whatever is going on in your life and deep within yourself. It's an opportunity to uncover your own inner wisdom. Wisdom/God draws near as we slow down and listen, and it can be helpful to do this in the company of a Spiritual Director. I love to accompany people of any, or no, faith.

It is important to me that the directee is leading the way in what she/he wants to talk about and that they feel comfortable. Together we are looking for God/the Holy Spirit/Jesus in the directees day to day life - in the good places and in the bad ones, in the happy ones and in the sad ones. The aim is to grow closer to the One they believe in, and to find comfort and strength to face life’s challenges. I believe that in learning how deeply they are loved they will also come closer to finding their True Self. Sometimes images, art, stories, and the interpretation of dreams, etc. are effective tools I use in guiding my directees to find their own truth. If it feels appropriate, I draw on the wisdom of the Enneagram to help them understand themselves better.

I offer spiritual direction mainly for men but am also happy to offer it to anyone of any gender, age or sexuality. I have a passion for seeing people become increasingly aware of the presence, action and invitations of God in their everyday lives, and helping people attune to whatever calls may be on their lives.
